First Day of K4...

Cooper's school promotes to new classes in June so last week while he was at Nanna's, his friends started their K4 year.  He started K4 today...here we go...last year before big boy school!

When Sam made her decision to go to PT school at the University of Miami, she bought us all a little happy.  She bought Cooper a Miami cape, and he decided he should wear it on his first day of K4.  Boys will be boys...all part of being 4!

Cooper with his new teacher, Ms. Shelley...

The Cooper(s)...Cooper Calvert informed me that Cooper Loflin is their afternoon teacher because he is so smart he can handle anything...they don't actually need a teacher.  And Anna Ryan helps Cooper Loflin.  This is obviously a "story", but I do think Cooper Loflin is pretty smart!

When I left, he was happily playing at the train table in his cape.

All smiles when I left him this morning and all smiles when he came home this afternoon.  Looking forward to a year of watching him grow, learn, and have fun with his friends!

SURPRISE...

Sam left for Miami on May 10th, and I had no clue that we would see her before I fly to Miami on June 25th for several days.  Little did we know, she was working on a SURPRISE trip!  And the even crazier thing is that she actually told Anna Lauren Monday that she was coming, and Anna Lauren did NOT utter a word!  If you know Anna Lauren, you know this is beyond shocking!

Sam worked all her "magic" and had my sweet friend, Leah, and her family pick her up from the airport Friday night.  I mean how cute is this that Hadley made her a sign?

Paul, Leah, and Hadley surprised Sam inside the airport...Sam said she was expecting them to just drive through and pick her up.  This picture is so sweet to me!

She finally made it my house, and I figured out why Anna Lauren was acting so weird...she knew all along.  Sam looks like she had been crying...she had not (I of course teared up)...the poor child was exhausted...first three weeks of PT school had caught up with her and she was in need of some sleep!

Pretty sure this was Leah's idea...but...we sure loved it!

These little girls were beyond excited to see Sam.  Poor Hadley cried when she had to leave...it was so sad.

And this lil guy came home for his t-ball party and was all about his Sam.

Not sure they would even let her breathe Friday night...

We had to let her to study some this weekend...however, this is what Cooper thought of her anatomy book!

Sam started this whole sticking out his tongue thing...so...he knows, he can only do it to Sam.  And so far, he abides by that rule.

I cannot even explain why these two are in the buggy...but...I wouldn't trade anything for the giggles!  They were having so much fun embarrassing me!

Sam brought us all t-shirts and a few other Miami happies...

Sam was sitting at the computer studying and Cooper felt the need to interrupt her...and Sam was loving every minute of his cuteness!

Thankfully she didn't fly out until 6:45 PM Sunday...so...we had two full days with her, and it was so fun!  We loved the surprise, and we loved every minute of her just being "our family" this weekend!

This my friends is "real" life...

Nothing makes me happier than knowing she wants to come back to see us and thinks of us as her family.  If you don't believe me, check out my shirt...what an awesome experience this has been for our family.  We all love her and are so glad she wants to be a part of our wild and crazy family!

It was a little easier to watch her leave today because I knew I would see her again in 3 weeks, and she has a 3 week break in August so she will come back and spend some time with us during that break.

Sam posted this picture on facebook and said..."had an amazing weekend surprising some of my favorites"...

And then she sent me this picture...it has truly been so fun being a part of each phase of this kid's life!  She will do great things, and I look forward to continuing to be a part of her journey.

T-Ball Party...

While Anna Lauren and I cleaned out the play room, Matt and Cooper went to the Braves game for Cooper's t-ball party.

I did not have high expectations for t-ball, but honestly, it was so much better than I ever expected and Cooper LOVED it!

They got to run out on the field with the players as they were announced...

Running off the field...

He was super proud of his trophy...

Boys will be boys...

And he talked his daddy into a catcher's mask...one of the catchers on the Millsaps softball team came over one night, and he has been all into "catching" since then...he of course, wanted Rayner to see his new catcher's mask so we had to send her a picture.
