The time has come and our sweet friends, Bo and Lisa, have checked into the hospital with plans for induction tomorrow morning. Anna Lauren is excited about meeting her new playmate, Abby, and she anticipates she will arrive at 2:30 tomorrow. For those of you that don't know, it is always 2:30 in Anna Lauren's life and everything happens at 2:30...no matter what you ask. This all started from her wearing my watch one day...we asked her what time it was, and she said 2:30...from that day, it is ALWAYS 2:30!
To check out a fun clip of Anna Lauren visiting with Miss Lisa as we were giving her our final words of wisdom last night go to Jennifer's blog.

Week in Paradise...
Matt and I have returned from a wonderful week in what I would call paradise! We had a fabulous cruise and the best part of all is we had just "us" time with no interruptions!
Anna Lauren did GREAT! She was such a "big girl" for her Nanna and seemed to do just fine away from Mommy and Daddy for a week. And words cannot express our many thanks to Nanna, she kept her all week, and we did not hear one complaint. This morning they even got up and went to eat at Waffle House so we could sleep in...just when we thought our vacation was over. Thanks so much Nanna...you are the BEST!
I have tried to post just a "few" pictures...this was hard as I had to sort through 300 plus pictures. Hope you enjoy!
Day 1: Miami
Leaving the Port of Miami...this is South Beach...
The relaxing has begun...we were watching from the balcony as the ship set sail from Miami to Nassau, Bahamas.

Day 2: Nassau, Bahamas
Just getting off the ship to enjoy our day in the Bahamas...headed to the Hilton to enjoy the beach for the day.
Matt enjoying the pool at the Hilton...
Matt decided to add a little "adventure" to his trip by trying out the kayak at the Hilton...
This is a view of the Hilton, where we spent the day, as we were leaving Nassau. The worst weather we had all week was in Nassau...we had about 2 hours of rain during the day and then again when we were back on the ship leaving.

Mandi above and Matt below...formal night...however, we opted not to dress formal. I'm telling you...we were relaxing this trip...even when it came to getting ready for dinner!

Day 3: CoCo Cay

We went on a jet ski tour in CoCo Cay, which was probably one of the highlights. I don't know that I have ever seen water as pretty as we saw once we got pretty far out on the jet skis...

Yes, you are looking at a starfish. This picture was taken while we were sitting on the jet ski...I'm telling you, the water was unbelievable!
Matt snorkled in CoCo Cay while I took a nap and bathed in the sun.

In CoCo Cay, the ship just anchors in the middle of the ocean, and you are tendered from the ship to the island.

This is a picture of the island of CoCo Cay as we were sailing away...
If you look in the middle row of chairs, you can see me on the end. We got back on the boat and just hung out by the pool and enjoyed sailing away...

Heatwave Classic Triathlon...
.5 Mile Swim ~ LONG, but I did just fine and was pretty pleased with my time.
24.5 Mile Bike ~ My motor was fine, but my bootie hurt pretty bad. I got a bike fit to "hopefully" make it better but it was NOT better today. O'well...I did it...just had a little or should I say a lot of discomfort.
6.2 Mile Run ~ Felt great when I started but around mile 2, my legs quit working. However, they recovered around mile 3, and I pushed myself to finish along with a couple ladies I met on the course. Walking is typically AGAINST my rules, but I did my share of walking today.
Overall ~ Good race, and I'm so glad I did it...will I do it again...probably. But for now, I am focused on vacation where I get to bathe in the sun, eat, and do NOTHING!
Matt's Race ~ Well, he forgot to fill his engine up with gas before he left home. Just kidding...he had a great race, but he was a little disappointed that his body did not cooperate just the way he wanted it to today. He said he just felt like he was "out of gas" the whole time. Again, he is over it as we are preparing to bathe in the sun, eat, and do NOTHING!
No pictures of the race...all the photographers were either not there or racing today!

Don't Be Jealous...
Don't be jealous, but Matt and I are going on a cruise next week! However, this does not come without a little hard work before hand. In the morning, we will both be doing the Heatwave Triathlon ~ .5 mile swim, 24.5 mile bike, and 6.2 mile run. Enough said...our running shoes will be left behind, and we will sit on our butties and do nothing but bathe in the sun and eat!
Monday: We will board the Majesty of the Sea in Miami...
Tuesday: We are planning to spend the day at the Hilton in Nassau, Bahamas. And of course, sit on the beach and bathe in the sun!
Wednesday: We will spend the day at a private island owned by Royal Carribean called CoCo Cay. And of course, sit on the beach and bathe in the sun some more!
Thursday: We will spend the day in Key West...have not made definite plans for Key West, but Matt does want to visit the "southernmost point". We did find out it is Gay Pride week, which may send us back to the boat to bathe in the sun one last day!

Thanks so much for keeping the "wild one" Nanna...we know ya'll are going to have a great week together!

Need Money...
Out of the blue last week, I had this conversation with Anna Lauren:
Anna Lauren: I need money.
Mommy: I don't have any money.
Anna Lauren: Daddy have money?
Mommy: No, Daddy doesn't have any money.
Anna Lauren: Pop Pop has money.
Mommy: Well, you better call Pop Pop and ask him for some money.
Matt called his dad for Anna Lauren and plain as day, she said to him...Pop Pop, I need money. And guess what...she received $6 in the mail yesterday from Pop Pop. After she opened the money, we had this conversation:
Anna Lauren: Put it in my bank...oh...Pop Pop would be so proud of her for saving!
Mommy: Are you sure you don't want to buy something with the money?
Anna Lauren: Yeah...I buy flip flops...uh oh...Pop Pop may not like to hear she is a "girl" like the rest of us that loves shoes!
Anna Lauren: Here Daddy...you have $1.
Mommy and Daddy: You are so sweet...thanks for sharing.
Then it was time to leave home for school...we'll figure out tonight what to do with the money. On behalf of Anna Lauren, thanks so much for the money Pop Pop!

Favorite Little Boys...
Anna Lauren had a big day...she got to swim AND go see her favorite buddies, Ady (Adam) and Jack Jack (Jack)! We miss these little boys and their mommy and daddy so much so we take any opportunity we can to see them...we always have such a great time together! Now...the only time I could get them confined enough to take pictures was in the bath so sorry they are naked...it was the best I could do with these wild monkeys!

Loving Swim School...
Since we switched Anna Lauren to a different class at swim school, she is loving it and cannot wait to get to the pool when I pick her up on Wednesday afternoons. Today was her day to swim with Daddy, and I got to watch and take pictures with two other mommys. It seems as if there are several couples that rotate Mommy and Daddy swimming...today was a Daddy week!
Anna Lauren kicking from one side of the pool to the other...
Practicing getting out of the pool...she can pretty much do it all by herself...
Throwing the duck...they throw a duck...swim to get the duck / to the other side...practice getting out of the pool, throw the duck again, take a deep breath (fat face), get into the water, and swim back again...
