Today we worked and went to school only 1/2 a day...we were NOT going to miss round 1 of the conference tournament for the Lady Majors at 1 PM.
The stands were packed and the atmosphere was fun. I love Mary's dad in the bottom right...he was celebrating something. We have really enjoyed getting to know them this year!
And this kid...I cannot tell you how good it felt to see her step back on the court today. It has been a LONG month of getting her to this point. I could not have been happier for her or more proud. Matt and I joke, but she has really become like one of our own!
She looked like this ALOT...bless her heart...she has not lost any of her skills, but she is so out of shape. Coach took her in and out because she just couldn't hang.
And there was lots of "hands on her hips" trying to catch her breath...
But when she was in, she went 115%...according to her, there is no other way...
And there was lots of this...this is their "sign" they need a break...
Meanwhile the little ones were loving the Major...
Like I said, 115%...
I've been waiting for weeks to see her sitting on the bench...and today, she was finally there!
It's guaranteed these two are going to have a good time!
At this point, Matt and I were laughing at her...she was so tired she kept moving from side to side trying to catch her breath. We should not have been laughing considering she is two weeks out of surgery, but we couldn't help it...
And just like that, she came back and did an amazing job and walked away with 10 points. Matt and I were so proud!
Cooper decided he would make friends with a player from another team...silly boy...the Lady Majors were not loving this and they were sure to tell him...ha ha!
She proved today she is ready...bring on game #2, which is tomorrow at 5 PM. If they win that one, they will play in the championship game on Sunday.
I hate I cannot see their faces, but this is some sweet love right here...I promise you!
Never knew we could love another kid so much...she has proved us wrong, and we have all enjoyed having her be part of the family.
And then Cooper is off to making his rounds...after Sam, comes Kala...
Then Kim...
Then Mahalia and Miah...
Then Anna Lauren joins in on the action with Katie, Mary, and Sam...
And if you hang around long enough, you can get almost the whole team...what precious girls they are who love on our children so much!
And if you have to sit through another game before taking Sam to dinner, why not just take a nap? Our kids for sure have an on/off switch, and he turned his off. After a little rest, he was ready to go again...we took Sam to dinner before she had to be pack for film. We are all looking forward to game #2 tomorrow...go Majors!
