On March 29th, I registered this sweet and excited little boy for kindergarten (yes, I said it...kindergarten) at Highland Bluff Elementary. He is SO excited to be going to sister's school, and I am thrilled they will be at the same school together for 3 years. Highland Bluff has been great for Anna Lauren, and I know we will love it for Cooper too!
After we completed our paperwork, we got to "tour" Ms. White's room. Ms. White let him listen to the morning announcements with her class and then write his name on her smart board.
I was so proud...he did not even hesitate...he walked right up to the board in front of a room full of kids older than him and wrote his name.
He may not can recognize all of his letters, but he can write his name. Bless his heart...according to him, he HATES to learn. School is about hide and go seek, flag football, etc. Hmm...may have a long road ahead of us.
And fingers crossed he will get Ms. Wells. She taught Anna Lauren kindergarten and now keeps her every day after school. She for sure has a special place in our hearts. And just maybe...she could convince him to learn his letters!
