For the past several years, we have celebrated Christmas with the Bounds family the Sunday night before Christmas. We use to have a nice steak dinner and rotate houses each year. Last year it was my year, and I happened to be a little overwhelmed/tired and bailed on a nice dinner and suggested Waffle House. It was a hit, and I'm pretty sure it's the new tradition along with the kids pajama exchange.
They start out in their clothes but it quickly becomes a pajama party...
Christy and I coordinated this year and went with matching pajamas...
They made this little boy's day by buying him these cool slippers...
Hopefully they will always remain friends and remember these nights of pajamas and waffles with each other...
Oh...just a little karaoke before dinner...
This would be me on the 3rd row of the van with 3 girls...no...there are not enough seatbelts...we double buckled Anna Lauren/Emmy.
Once a year we "break the rules" and put 9 in a car with seatbelts for 8...BUT...it's just so much more fun to all ride together!!!
So maybe we took over Waffle House but honestly, the older they get, it really isn't a big deal to take them out. They finally all five know how to sit/behave for the the most part.
