Every once in a while the "go, go, go" catches up with us, and we realize we are all just exhausted. Well, that is where we were Friday. I told the kids...we are going to get through Cooper's birthday party and then we are going to chill Saturday afternoon/night...we need some down time in order to recover and then keep going. But...after Cooper's party we had lunch outside and realized it was just too pretty of a day to stay inside so we headed to Matt's football game at the Mississippi School for the Deaf...
Not that Matt called the game any differently, but it was a super laid back atmosphere so we were able to see him before the game, at half time, and after the game...
I couldn't be more proud of this guy...he has worked so hard to be where he is today. You don't just do nothing and step into what he stepped into this year.
Trust me...not every game can Daddy hike you the football as he is walking onto the football field.
We sat our chairs under the trees and just enjoyed being outside watching a little football all while Cooper was off playing football with all the other little boys...
Thankful he works with a group of men who stop and pray together before every game...
When Matt decided to switch from private school to public school, my prayer was that God would place him where he needed to be never dreaming that would be on a set crew. But He did and the transition for Matt has been so easy because of this man right here...Matt couldn't be working with anyone better right now!!!
Watching him is just like watching the kids participate in activities/sports they love...makes my heart smile!
Not every game does your Daddy get to throw the football to you and your friends as he walks off the field at half time...
One of the many things I love about Cooper is that he makes a friend no matter where he goes...
Yes, this game was a little different for all of us...not every day are we surrounded by a group of people that are deaf. But on the flip side, it was so cool to see these kids not be stopped from playing a game they love just because they are deaf...
