Thanksgiving...

Thanksgiving morning we loaded up the car and headed to Gulfport to spend a few days with Matt's parents.  It was really different this year because it was just us and Matt's parents, but we had a great time and just enjoyed a few days of taking it easy in the midst of holiday craziness.

As soon as the kids walked in the door they spotted Christmas presents.  Pop Pop and MeMe let Cooper open his Christmas present because they thought he could play with it while he was at their house.  And...we will not see them until a few days after Christmas.

Anna Lauren got a little happy because MeMe had to special order hers and it wasn't there yet...

There are two things my kids LOVE at Pop Pop and MeMe's...the golf cart and the beach.  And I'm pretty sure they went on a ride/played at the beach all three days we were there thanks to their Daddy.

Friday morning they actually let me go with them...they usually say there isn't room...

Pop Pop and MeMe surprised us with a date night Friday night!  It was SO fun, and I got to eat at Mary Mahoney's for the first time. Everyone that goes to the coast has eaten at Mary Mahoney's...well, I have been going for at least 12 years and it was my first and of course, a very special treat!

Not sure Pop Pop thought this was a fair trade...we got Mary Mahoney's, and he got Chuck E Cheese's.  However, everyone was all smiles when we got home and seemed to have had a super fun time.  I know the kids did for sure!

On our way out of town, we decided to try somewhere for lunch that none of us had been...Shaggy's. And obviously we didn't succeed getting a good picture of the kids in the giant chair.

For sure not the best food but hard to beat lunch on the patio with this view.  For sure the perfect end to a relaxing weekend before the December craziness begins...because...there is NO relaxing in December!
