Today we celebrated Christmas with Anna Lauren's 2nd grade class. Her school has a new principal this year and allows parties, but they must be kept to 30 minutes. At the fall party, Kellie and I (room moms) realized 30 minutes is REALLY quick so we had a new game plan for the party today and thankfully it was much less chaotic than the fall party. And sadly, I have very few pictures...
I took up money for anyone interested in going in on a group gift for the teachers, and I think they turned out really cute.
Ms. Hopkins got $80 and Ms. Jungers, assistant, got $40. And I threw in a little ornament so they would have something to remember the class by when they pull out their Christmas every year.
Everyone brought a $5 wrapped present...we put the girls in a circle and the boys in a circle and played the "right/left" game in order to exchange presents with each other. The girls were all smiles after opening their presents.
I think Anna Lauren and McCarley were just as excited over the present as Ms. Jungers...
They had so much fun watching Ms. Jungers open her present that they couldn't wait for Ms. Hopkins to open her present.
And they were SUPER excited to open their present from Ms. Hopkins...it was a book that they were all so excited to get. It is obviously one they have read in class because they were all smiles when they pulled it out of the bag...
And now Anna Lauren is done with school until January 5th...Cooper and I finish school/work Monday...Matt finishes Tuesday. There is light at the end of the tunnel, and we are looking forward to a break and enjoying Christmas together!
