We spent Friday night and Saturday in Brookhaven and boy oh boy, we were busy! Friday night we went to the Brookhaven High School football game to watch Reid march in the high school band. Yes, I said "high" school...he should NOT be in high school! Anyway, I had to give Anna Lauren the speech today that Reid is a "teenager" and "cool" now so she should just be thankful he is even riding in the car with her...forget trying to convince him to climb to the backseat and sit beside her.
Saturday we celebrated Nanna's birthday, watched Jake run cross country, watched Reid play a little tennis, and last but not least...bought and painted pumpkins.
It was a super fun time, but the kiddos were exhausted...by the time we got to the interstate, they were both sound asleep. Cooper stayed up a little while when we got home but Anna Lauren came in and went straight to bed. It is tiring having this much fun!
Cooper was VERY entertained by the band...or...he was either frozen. He refused to wear his jacket and the wind was so cold.
Reid plays the saxophone...he is 4th from the front...
Reid is right above the "3"...
Anna Lauren wanted to make Nanna a donut cake like we made Cooper on his birthday...
The kids all wanted a turn to blow out the candles...Bently needed to practice...she turns "4" on Monday!
So proud that he blew out the candles all by himself!
A little tennis...think I failed to mention...we picked the wrong weekend for all these activities. Thanks to the wind, it was FREEZING!
Jake starting his cross country race...3.1 miles...
At the beginning, his side was hurting...thankfully he ran through that and ran 3 minutes faster than his fastest time.
Aunt Paula thought the cake may not be big enough...so...Nanna got two!
Ashton felt the need to offer Nanna a little help with all those candles...
This kid...could just eat him up...he is something else!
Nanna with all six of her grandkids...
Just couldn't resist this picture...fall is one of my favorite times of the year...love pumpkins and mums!
Anna Lauren was so excited...she had been asking to paint pumpkins for quite some time.
The "painted" pumpkins...
Whew...what fun we had this weekend!
