Cooper's "6th" Birthday...

All day long we celebrated Cooper's "6th" Birthday...

This was actually Tuesday night...his last sleep as a 5 year old.  And yes, he chose to sleep in a dirt bike racer costume.  It just happens to be the "costume" of the week...

He picked Ninja Turtle cupcakes to take to school to share with his friends/celebrate his birthday...

I'll be totally honest...I LOVED everything about Cooper at 5 and would have gladly froze him there forever.  Unfortunately, it doesn't work that way...so...I sadly pulled out 6 candles.

As you can see, our family really enjoys birthday morning celebrations...

So excited about his new bike and his helmet with spikes...if you know Cooper, you know it is so him!!!

Opening a few presents that came in the mail...

He had to try out the race car pen Aunt Kate sent him...she always sends fun and unique gifts the kids love.

I'm sorry, but I don't think it gets much cuter than these next few pictures...

Cooper loves being at school with Anna Lauren and especially on days when she agrees to help him do things such as carry his cupcakes to his room.

Walking down the hall to meet us for lunch.  And really...why does he look so big?  Like I said, I was totally ok with him staying 5 forever!

He got to pick a friend to eat birthday lunch with him.  Of course, he picked his "main man" Keyontae.  Matt and I were thrilled to finally meet this "main man"...

Cooper wanted to take a picture of his Daddy and Mommy having lunch with him...

And then Keyontae took a picture of all of us...they were so fun and cute!!!

And then Cooper was convinced Keyontae needed a picture with his parents...I mean he is pretty cute...I could probably just bring him on home with us!

He had told me for several days he was super excited about getting to wear the birthday hat...well, he got to wear it!

Ms. Wells sent me a picture of Cooper enjoying his cupcakes with his friends...

Anna Lauren NEVER misses cheer and typically never misses tumble.  Therefore, we decided Cooper's birthday was a good enough excuse to miss tumble and enjoy some time as a family celebrating Cooper's birthday.  Cooper got to pick dinner and of course, he picked Mexican.

This kid...he is SO sweet, so loving, and so much fun!!!

Enjoying a little "happy birthday" singing...

It was really sunny, not everyone wanted to cooperate, but we at least tried a family selfie...

After dinner, we came home and Cooper opened all the cards that came in the mail.  Can we say score...this little dude got some money!!!  Pretty sure some people think he is a pretty special little 6 year old...

After his bath, he put on the new pajamas Nanna sent him in the mail for his birthday...

Then he adjusted his training wheels.  He doesn't use training wheels on his old bike, but I think he will have to practice on this bike a little before we can take them off because it is much bigger.

You know...just riding around this house on his new bike.  Not ten minutes later, he was sound asleep in Matt's lap.  Pretty sure he had a great day celebrating his birthday, and we will celebrate just a little more at his soccer birthday party on Saturday!!!

Football...Football...And More Football...

If you are looking for Matt, you can most likely find him 2-3 nights a week on a football field somewhere dressed in this nice black and white uniform.  Although we miss him, and I especially miss the other set of helping hands, I am glad he has a "hobby" that he enjoys...and really...it's just a season of crazy busy.  Football season comes and goes so quick.

Someone sent him these pictures this week so I had to post...we sure love this referee even if many think he/his crew are the worst at games.  No matter what...someone will always be unhappy with their calls...just part of it...he says he calls "fair" and laughs off all the things he hears from the sideline/crowd.

Oh...Just What We Do On Saturdays...

Just a normal Saturday morning...volleyball and then soccer.  And oh man...it was so hot!!!  When is it going to get cooler?

Volleyball siblings...

No, Cooper did not get glasses.  They are fake, but he will likely tell you he cannot see and needs glasses.  His imagination sometimes leads to telling a story or two or three.

Anna Lauren's team was the "home" team...they won today!

After brunch at Waffle House, we came back to watch this little guy play soccer.  Age groups changed this year...he is the youngest and playing with kids 7/8.  The age group has been an adjustment for him but today he finally played like we know he can play.  We were proud!!!

See the fingers in his mouth...that is "nervous" Cooper...like I said, this has been an adjustment for him.  It is no longer "kid" soccer...it's the real thing/pretty intense.

It was oh so hot and sweet Zack shared his cold towel with him...
