Trick or Treat...

We actually trick or treated Wednesday night...the day before Halloween.  The weather forecast for Halloween seemed to have everyone in a panic so every city and every subdivision is doing something different and there is trick or treating practically all week...some Wednesday, some Thursday (Halloween), and some Friday.

We went along with our subdivision and trick or treated Wednesday. Despite the HUGE crowd of trick or treaters, we had a fun time making our lil loop from house to house and then handing out candy at home (my kids favorite).

Anna Lauren the Rainbow Fairy (I'm a firm believer Party City makes up costumes) and Cooper the Saints Football Player...

This picture is just so typical of these two...

Something about this little boy...just melts my heart!  And as I've said over and over, he will play some sport...we are just not sure which one yet.  Nanna tells me to get ready...he is going to play them ALL!

Cooper got quite for a few minutes...come to find out, he was filling his pumpkin with the candy we bought to hand out to trick or treaters.

Here we go..."trick or treat"...

Excited to be back at home to pass out candy...

There were so so many kids that we ran out of candy...I found a bag of dum dums in the cabinet and we started just giving one sucker. I'm telling you, the subdivision was packed with kids!

Cooper enjoyed handing out the candy, but he also made sure to check out every single costume.

Tomorrow night we are going to wrap up Halloween with the Bounds family at the City of Flowood's "kids night out" which got changed from Halloween night to Friday night.  Kind of worked in our favor because now we can do both...we like to do the old fashion trick or treating, but we also like the events City of Flowood does for the community.

Celebrating "65" with Nanna...

Yesterday we celebrated "65" with Nanna.  We let her pick what kind of party she wanted and she chose pizza at the park (think she had some lil ones in mind).  It was a beautiful day, the kids had a fun time playing, and the adults all enjoyed visiting while the lil ones played (for sure the beauty of the park).

Not exactly the cake I ordered, but I always say...you never know what you are going to get at Sam's.  It will for sure taste good...but...you have to take your chances.  Thankfully, it was pretty and Nanna loved it!

Singing "Happy Birthday"...and the candles are on opposite corners on purpose...you know, they are for someone else to blow out...not Nanna.

Too cute...they are all blowing!

Bently turns "5" on Tuesday so we lit the "5" candle and sang "Happy Birthday" to her.  Whoa...these kids are growing so fast!

You know...got to at least attempt a "grandkid" picture with Nanna...

Nanna smiling so big because she is pretty sure she has guessed what we bought her for her birthday.

She guessed right (an Iphone) but Cooper seems surprised!

Not sure who is more excited...her or her kids/grandkids.  The grandkids can now play games on Nanna's phone, and the big kids can text her...now let's see if she'll respond...ha ha!

And the case to keep the grandkids from destroying her phone...

Happy Happy Birthday Nanna!  We love you and had so much fun celebrating your special day!

Cousins Come to Visit...

This past weekend Matt's sister and her two kids, Spencer and Madeline, came to visit.  We wanted to make sure the cousins had plenty of fun so we stayed busy...a birthday party, lunch at McAlister's so we could feed the ducks, a "little" play time at home, the park, and the super fun pumpkin patch in Collins!  Amazing how much fun can be had in one weekend!

Sad to say, but I think the best pictures I have of the four of them are in the bathtub...Spencer, Cooper, Anna Lauren, and Madeline.

We had heard lots and lots of good things about the pumpkin patch in Collins, but we had never been.  Let me just say, it was worth the drive and the money...so much fun for everyone.

On the way to the pumpkin patch, Madeline was telling us she wanted a horse.  So...she was excited to see the pony and feed it out of her hand.

Anna Lauren may pretend she is going to feed an animal out of her hand, but I know better...I caught her pouring the food out of her cup for the goats.  I'm not a huge animal fan so she gets it honest.

Love this cute train and so did the kids!  And this picture is kust funny to me because all the kids seem in their own world.

This was Cooper's "happy" spot of the day...he kept going back to the corn.

Since we were not that far from Nanna's house, she met us at the pumpkin patch and enjoyed the afternoon with us.  Think she had just as much fun as the rest of us...honestly, it was just a beautiful day, a fun place, and a good way to spend some time together with family.

The Mississippi State Fair...

We were not planning to go to the fair this year, but our plans changed when my brother called Wednesday and said Ashton would be showing his goat Friday and Saturday.  Matt and I were already off work Friday so after Cooper's field trip we checked Anna Lauren out of school and headed to the fair just in time to see Ashton show his goat.

Ashton and Comet...

It took him a few minutes but Cooper warmed up to Comet and actually got within "touching" distance...

Getting braver and braver...he actually touched the goat.  Anna Lauren on the other hand was petrified...she would not get close to them at all.

We had a little time to waste before Cooper went to Pop Pop and MeMe's for the weekend and Anna Lauren had cheer so we let them ride a few rides.

By far her favorite fair ride...the swings!

Cooper had to leave, but Anna Lauren enjoyed riding a few more rides by herself...

Fun Friday afternoon at the fair and then she was off to two hours of cheer and a spend the night birthday party.

Saturday morning we headed back to the fair grounds to watch Ashton show his goat again...

So proud of his ribbon...such a neat kid!

We promised the girls they could ride some rides together Saturday afternoon so they were happy as could be!

You cannot see Anna Lauren...just her hand on top of Bently's head.  Bently was not liking the ride and Anna Lauren was rubbing her head, talking to her, and trying to comfort her.

Until...Anna Lauren decided she didn't like it either...or fake she didn't like it (not sure which).

Safe to say this was not a favorite...

Anna Lauren got over the "bad" ride quick when she saw the swings and jumped on them once again!

If you catch them in just the right mood, they can be sweet...

They were a little hesitant to go on the bigger roller coaster by themselves so Barbie agreed to ride with them...

On a hot afternoon, they saved the BEST for last...they LOVED the water ride!

Think next year we'll for sure make plans to go because we had a super fun time and didn't even spend a crazy amount of money.  I set some "rules" and Anna Lauren never complained.  She just enjoyed what she was able to do...
