Cooper's 4th Birthday...

When we woke up this morning, we had one excited "4" year old boy who was ready to celebrate his birthday!  His first question was...can we just stay at home today?  The kid loves to be at home, which is so different than his sister.  Thankfully, we had a lazy morning of playing with toys at home before hitting the road to the pumpkin patch in Collins.

What better way to start your birthday than with presents...

So excited over his "nerf shotgun" from Daddy and Mommy...he is a little obsessed with nerf guns these days.  He is loving them but his mommy is going nuts...there are bullets EVERYWHERE!

Aunt Kelly pulled through and got him some handcuffs...if he is not playing with nerf guns, he is putting you "under arrest"...

So excited...new booster seats for Daddy's and Mommy's car...no more "baby seat".

He may have been the most excited over his present from Aunt Kelly...and really, how cute is he?

He grabbed his walkie talkie and said, "10-4...I'm on my way"...I had no clue he even knew what that meant.

After presents, we had a little breakfast...wouldn't be a birthday at our house without donuts!

There was a chance of rain so we debated going to the pumpkin patch as planned, but when we looked this morning, it was only a 10% chance so off we went...

Daddy cannot stand just letting the kids have fun...he joins in on the fun too!

Waiting on the wagon ride...

Hay, pumpkins, sunflowers...I love all things fall...one of my favorite times of the year!

Who knew corn could be so much fun...smiles, smiles, and more smiles!

Tiny Town was new at Mitchell Farms this year and the kids really loved all the different small play houses...

Anna Lauren preaching a sermon in the chapel...

Cooper put Matt "under arrest" and threw him in jail...

Cooper went straight to a little pumpkin...

All our pumpkins...oh I cannot wait to pull out the fall decorations at our house.

I know it's not obvious...but really...they were having so much fun!

And so much for that 10% chance of rain...the rain started, and it rained, and rained, and rained some more.  The kids didn't seem to mind...they just kept playing.  And really...what boy wouldn't love pushing a dump truck through the mud in the rain?

We sat under the pavilion and watched the rain/watched the kids play in the rain...it was the most peaceful afternoon.

Cooper and Bently were very content watching the rain and having a snack on the front porch of the jail...

The rain slacked off just enough to make a quick dash to the train...

Nothing like a train ride in the rain...

They stopped playing long enough to have a pumpkin cookie for Cooper's birthday...

I'll be honest...this little guy melts my heart...he is the sweetest, cutest, funniest little guy.  He for sure completes our family and adds so much joy to our lives!

And this is what we call a good day at the pumpkin patch.  They were soaked but never quit smiling and had so much fun!  Anna Lauren got in the car and said, "I think it is actually more fun in the rain"...

And all good things must come to an end...we made it to Richland and had to change a flat tire.  Not fun but thankfully we had stopped to grab a bite to eat and realized there was a nail in the tire.

And that's a wrap...we've celebrated "4" with our favorite little man!

Cooper's 4th Birthday Party...

Yesterday we celebrated Cooper's 4th Birthday at the Fire Museum...the kids (and I think parents) all had a good time.  I know for sure Cooper LOVED his party!  This may be my favorite party age...so fun to watch the excitement and happiness on their little faces!

I cannot count the number of times he slid down the pole...for sure a big hit with all the kids!

Before the party starts, the birthday kid gets to sit on the real fire engine...Cooper had no part of that...he just wanted to look.

Since Cooper wouldn't get in, Anna Lauren jumped right in for him...

He did love the helmet...

Like I said, I love this age...such excitement and happiness!

Since Cooper wouldn't get on the real fire engine before his party, Ms. Sheri took him in the museum...he was all about the old fire engine.

Ms. Sheri did a really fun and informative fire safety presentation...

Stop...Drop...Roll!

Crawling through the smoke...

Granna brought my favorite little guy, Elliot, to the party, and he was so quite and shy...he didn't know what to think of the birthday craziness.

Touring the fire museum...

The "other" Cooper...

Lilly...

After touring the fire museum, we got to see where the firemen live...Cooper asked me to take his picture with them...so sweet!

Cooper and the captain...

The sirens...

They turned the sirens off quickly because Cooper freaked out...he does NOT like them...

What a fun group of special friends that came to celebrate his birthday with him...

Time for "Happy Birthday"...

Pretty sure this is a typical day in the life of these little boys...bless their teacher!

Best buddies from school...Cooper, KJ, and Cooper

Tinley...

Cooper and Cooper in one fire truck...having the best time...just being boys!

And what better way to end a party than birthday present chaos!

After the party, we came home and this little guy played, and played, and played some more with all his new toys...he was a happy camper and had the best time celebrating "4"!
