UCA Cheer Competition...

Last Saturday, Anna Lauren had her first cheer competition of the season...it was the UCA competition in Jackson.

It was an early morning because we had to meet at 7:00 AM...but look at her, she is not bothered...up ready to go...EXCITED!

Elfie found some pom poms in Anna Lauren's room and left her a good luck sign for the big day...

Ava has her legs bent back and Anna Lauren is sitting on them...I would be crying...not smiling like Ava.  These kids and their flexibility amaze me.

Very seldom do I get this good of a picture of her stunting...once they put Emma all the way up, her arms cover her face.

These girls (and boy) did really good...if they keeping working as hard as they are working, I think they will have a REALLY good year. 

For who knows why, Anna Lauren's face turned so red when Ms. Terann told her to get in the picture with Sydney and her brother, Nicholas.

After they competed, they sat so sweet on this table and watched other squads...

And this kid...he came to the cheer competition as a cowboy.  He had taken off his hat at this point, but he had all of his "hooker upers" as he calls them.  Poor Nanna...he was such a sight that I think she was embarrassed to walk in with him and Matt.

He thinks he is just one of them...he managed to find himself a seat on the table with all the girls...and yes, that is a bungee cord wrapped around his neck.  He has the craziest imagination, which has been fun to watch because Anna Lauren is like her mother and has no imagination.

Anna Lauren and Izzy...she was Anna Lauren's flyer last year, and Anna Lauren just loves her.  She has really missed basing her this year.

And it doesn't get much better than going home with a 1st place banner and trophy...fun day of cheer competition for the girls and some pretty proud parents!  Next up...New Orleans in January!
