According to Anna Lauren, she had the best summer of her life with her babysitter, Kat. This was her first "structure free" summer, and she LOVED every minute of it. Kat was precious, and we are hoping she will keep her again next summer. Not going to mention how many messes Matt and I cleaned up, but we were thankful they were having fun and Kat was interacting with her rather than sitting on the couch on her cell phone.
Wednesday night was "meet the teacher" and Anna Lauren was most excited to see Ava. Ava is not cheering this year and Anna Lauren has really missed her this summer...
Meeting Ms. Patterson...have heard nothing but good things so we are excited about being in her class this year.
Not only do you meet your new teacher, but you have to go back and love on some of your favorites from the past...we LOVE us some Ms. Burkhalter from 1st grade!
And then there is Ms. Wells from kindergarten...not sure anyone will ever replace her because she holds a very special place in Anna Lauren's heart. And thankfully, she is allowing Anna Lauren to be a teacher's kid once again this year and keeping her after school.
Thursday morning we headed out bright and early for her very first day of 3rd grade...

She had a great 1st two days of 3rd grade...looking forward to continuing on this journey with our one and only Anna Lauren!
