Cast #2...

This past Tuesday we went back to to doctor...

Cutting off the cast she had worn for two weeks...

Not what we wanted but kind of what we expected...x-ray showed little sign of improvement and she literally yelled when doctor touched her foot.  So...he put her back in a cast for 3 more weeks.

She chose a purple cast this time, and we both agree we like it much better than the pink.  I mean if you got to wear one it should look good, right???

And this means her cheer is done for the season.  She will not be able to compete in the last two competitions.  A little bummed for sure, but like I said before, she has really had the best attitude. She'll say...it is what it is...what can we do?  Crying will not help!

Celebrating "10"...

Last Sunday we celebrated Anna Lauren's 10th birthday.  This year she wanted to invite a few friends and go to the LSU versus Florida gymnastics meet for her "party".  That sounded easy enough to me so that is exactly what we did...

She gets it from her momma...she just likes an invitation.  So yes, we did an invitation to send to just 4 people...but...how cute are they?

Ready for birthday breakfast before hitting the road to Baton Rouge...

My sweet friend, Leah, put their names on some boxes we found at Dollar Tree.  We filled these boxes with drinks and snacks for the car ride...

She chose donuts for breakfast...

Goodness..."10" happened so fast!!!

A little happy birthday singing...

Some present opening...

She has the sweetest friends who got her the cutest gifts!!!

And we are off...

We made a stop in Hammond and had Cane's for lunch before arriving at LSU...

Pom Poms and they are ready...

We had never been to a gymnastics meet...I must say it was a cool experience...

And if you are going to go to LSU, you need a picture with the tiger...right???

Announcing the LSU gymnasts...

And obviously I didn't take any more pictures.  After the meet, we drove back to Hammond and had dinner at Wendy's and then drove the rest of the way home.  Anna Lauren said she had a super fun day celebrating "10" and it was by far the easiest and probably cheapest party I have done for her.  We will officially celebrate "10" on March 20th...

6th Cheer Competition ~ WSA in Vicksburg...

On March 4th, we went to Vicksburg to "watch and support" Anna Lauren's cheer squad.  Due to the hurt foot and cast she could not compete, but she was a good sport and very supportive of her teammates...couldn't be more proud of her attitude through this injury when I know it just stinks!!!

It doesn't happen very often, but from time to time, we are at the same competition with her besties from school.

Unfortunately she didn't get to compete...but...her team got 1st place so that made for an exciting day!!!

4th Grade Brown Bag Breakfast...

On March 3rd, Anna Lauren had her 4th grade brown bag breakfast.  They do a little music program and then have breakfast with their parents.  This year their program was "Mississippi" to go along with the Mississippi history they are studying.  The kids love these programs and it's just as much for the parents.

This little guy was super excited we got him out of class to go to the program...

Playing a game from his Chick-fil-A kids meal while waiting on the program to start...

This year they were full of smiles and giggles, and I loved every minute of it...they acted like they were having so much fun...

May be my favorite picture...these two and Luke beside Anna Lauren laughed through the entire program.  Come to find out, there was a big brother making them laugh.

Anna Lauren begs for a speaking part...she has no fear when it comes to being in front of people...

She had a couple tongue twister words (for her at least), but she did great!

Smiles, smiles, and more smiles...love seeing them having fun!

Clay's mom asked Anna Lauren to take a picture with Clay because he thinks she is adorable...Matt and I laughed.  She obviously had some people at school fooled!!!

McKenna, Anna Lauren, and that little brother who thinks the world of his big sister!!!
