4 Months...

Our little man turned 4 months old yesterday. He continues to sleep all night, smile all day, and LOVES his hands! Oh...and he is well loved by all at school...especially his sisters friends!

My mom found a baby picture of my dad, and we see much similarity between Cooper and dad...pretty much the same exact smile. Nothing makes me prouder, and I can only imagine the big smile dad has on his face when he looks down from heaven at this sweet little boy. I know heaven is a WONDERFUL place but so many times I just wish he was here to see my children.

Breathing Treatments It Is...

We had to take Cooper back to the doctor this morning for a follow-up visit to Friday's appointment to make sure the congestion had not made it to his chest. Well, it had so breathing treatments it is...he will have 3 treatments per day for a week and cannot return to school until next Monday. However, he continues to just be the happy kid he is...Matt and I actually thought he was better so we were surprised to hear he was not...the little man is a trooper I tell you!

Cooper's very 1st breathing treatment...

This isn't so bad, Mom...

Yep...he really is smiling!

I mean really...what kid smiles through a breathing treatment? Now...I'm sure it will not be this way by the end of the week...I'm sure he will have had enough by then but for now, we couldn't be more pleased with his behavior so we'll enjoy it while it last!

Sick...Really?

On Friday, Cooper was diagnosed with RSV and an ear infection. However, the boy is just a trooper because other than a few hours Friday he has not acted any different...sleeping all night, eating all of his bottles, and continuing to smile. Yesterday we kept him in all day, but today, he was ready for an outing just like everyone else so we headed to Sam's. I know this sounds funny, but our family LOVES Sam's...we eat lunch for $8, Anna Lauren could watch them decorate cakes for hours upon hours, we sample all the yummy food, and just see what "neat" things they have each time...and the buggies are big enough for the kids to ride however they want to ride!

I mean does he look sick to you?

I'm thinking he was faking sick Friday so he could leave school early and then of course, not be allowed to go back for a week due to RSV. He knows what he is doing...

Winter Storm 2011...

Unlike my friend Meredith who lives in Oxford and has beautiful snow pictures for the 2nd time within a month, we just have a big ice mess! Yes Mer, I am JEALOUS!

Anna Lauren and I ventured out in the cold this morning to see what happened over night, and all we found was icicles. They were pretty but not snow!

Attempting to smile but disappointed to find only a frozen fountain...

Looks like a little snow on the ground but it is only ice...the whole yard was very "crunchy"...

Anna Lauren LOVES doing anything with sprinkles and sometimes she gets to play with them as if she has an "indoor" sand box...this does make a big mess but it provides entertainment, and we were searching hard for some entertainment this morning.

Then with the help of Daddy, she made some sugar cookies...

Mommy made the dough but Daddy was in charge of rolling it out so she could use her cookie cutters...it was a "family" project on this "ice" day!

Messy hands...and bar!

Not sure what was more fun...making a mess or making cookies?

Big Boy School...

This week was Cooper's 1st week of what we call, big boy school. He of course won over everyone's heart with his smiles that seem to never go away and had a great week of playing with friends, Ms. San, and Miss Tera. We got good reports everyday and he seems happy so we are thankful for an easy transition so far. And the most exciting thing is that Cooper FINALLY gets to go to school with Anna Lauren. She has waited and waited and was so excited when the day finally came, and he could go with her. And not only is she excited...her friends are too...needless to say, he gets lots of attention at school! We did manage to take a few pictures Monday morning before we left for school / work...can you believe it...we had time for pictures and made it to work on time...I've actually made it on time all week...yea us!

One Last Christmas...

On Friday, Matt's parents arrived for the weekend to celebrate Christmas and New Year's with us. Anna Lauren was most excited as this meant a few last presents...however, we are about to have to start explaining that she does not NEED anything else. Yesterday she started making her birthday list...I mean really, did she not just get plenty?

Note: I have a bad habit of just picking up my "little" camera instead of my "big" camera and I've noticed the red eye is terrible. Never noticed this before so either just something I haven't noticed or the little girl has pushed a wrong button on my camera. Got to get this fixed or quit using the little camera. And...Anna Lauren's hair is a mess...she had just gotten up from a nap and was too excited about presents to even think about fixing her hair! Even though they have red eyes and crazy hair, they are still two cute kiddos!

All excited about helping Pop Pop open his present...

Opening her new doll house from MeMe and Pop Pop...

The FAVORITE present from MeMe and Pop Pop...fruit, vegetables, and bread that you can cut...she has cut and cut and cut!
Is this not the coolest?
