10 Months...

Wow...it is hard to believe our little man is 10 months old!

He continues to be full of smiles, and we are hoping those never go away because he sure makes your heart smile when you see his sweet little face with a smile from ear to ear. He is crawling anywhere he wants to go and pulling up on anything he wants to pull up on but hasn't shown any interest in taking steps. He is eating mostly baby food but beginning to eat more and more table food as well as drinking some whole milk. He still just only has his two bottom teeth, but we are thinking some more are coming soon. He is sleeping less throughout the day so by 7:00 or 7:30 he is ready to go down for the night and stays put until we get him up for school at 7:00 AM. On the weekends, he will sleep to 8:00ish, which means we all get to sleep a little later!

We are having so much fun watching him grow!

Let's Just Say Practical...

I realized the other day that I had not done a blog post about our most recent PRACTICAL purchase. As someone told me the other day, you loose all coolness the moment you become a mom so obviously there is no need to even try to justify coolness. Since we don't have to justify coolness, we'll just make a long story short...we were tired of paying $85 a week for me to drive my Expedition, which I LOVED by the way. We were not willing to give up any of the space we were use to having on a day to day basis and especially when traveling. So you all know what that means...yep, you guessed it...the same Honda Odyssey that every other mom in town drives! Now I'm paying $60 to fill up and it is lasting longer than a week...hmm...that monthly savings will pay for dance once or month or another "kid" activity. And last but not least, we thank MeMe for selling us her van so that she could down size to something smaller.

4th of July Fun...

We went to Gulfport for a few days and celebrated the 4th of July with Matt's family. I think the pictures will pretty much narrate what we did the few days we were there...

Water play in Pop Pop and MeMe's backyard...

Matt thought it would be fun for the kids to slide down one on top of the other...if you look at their faces, they thought it was a pretty good idea too!

MeMe bought fun headbands to wear at the party Sunday night...however, Anna Lauren and Robyn were the only two that actually wore them because they were so tight on everyone's head.

Madeline must have been thirsty...she was having two capri suns at one time...

Does it get any cuter than this? Nope...don't think so!

Time for a little golf...

Hmmm...wonder what Daddy thinks about that form?

Water...the favorite thing to do on the golf course!

John Michael and Robyn...by far, the youngest and cutest couple in the family!

And they are even cuter when they agree to take these kids for a ride!

Our sweet sweet little man!

Annie posing for a picture...she and Anna Lauren had a blast together!

Not sure why I thought all these people would cooperate and let me take a good picture...

I think Uncle Jan's face is so funny in this picture...he is most likely surprised her Daddy threw her so high!

The kid LOVES to be thrown...

Cooper fell in love with Uncle Jan...and do you blame him...he let him in the pool in his clothes, which is exactly what he wanted to do!

And last but not least...Anna Lauren found MeMe's Mardi Gras costumes...here she is in Snow White, just one of the many she tried on that afternoon.

4th of July 5K...

At the last minute, I decided we should do a 5K the morning of July 4th. Several of us typically do a race on the 4th, and I could not find one on the Coast so I organized our own 5K.

Everyone thought I was a little crazy at first but humored my idea and came out to participate...when it was all said and done, it was a fun time for all!

The Miss Mississippi Pageant...

I know all of you that read our blog are anxiously awaiting to hear about the Miss Mississippi pageant. Last Saturday finally came and Anna Lauren and I headed to Vicksburg. She was beyond excited and seemed to really enjoy herself. The only complaint I had was that our seats were not very good so we couldn't really see the 1st hour...but...we moved to some empty seats half-way through the pageant and Anna Lauren didn't budge...she was loving it to say the least! After it was over, she asked if we could stay until all the girls were off the stage, and I agreed...and with time, we made our way to the stage and she was able to hug Sarah Beth and take a picture with her. After she got her hug and picture, she was ready to go. I am curious to see if she continues to be interested in the pageant or if it was all about Sarah Beth.

Cooper stayed at home with Daddy, but we managed to take a few pictures before the "girls" headed out for their special night.

And here she is with Sarah Beth...thankfully, I had my little camera in my purse.

Not the best pictures as they were on the stage and I was on the floor...but...Anna Lauren got to give her a hug and that is all that mattered...who cares about the picture!
