Easter...

Our Easter has not gone quite as planned...

Anna Lauren started running a low grade fever Friday night and it continued through Saturday.  I just assumed maybe the beginning of a sinus infection.  Saturday night her fever spiked to 102 and it has not been lower than 101 since then.  At one point today it was even 102.7.  Needless to say, we did not go to Brookhaven to church/Easter at Nanna's and she has spent the day on the couch. Pretty sure she has slept almost all day long.  Both kids cried this morning because they wanted to go to Nanna's, but Matt and I just knew Anna Lauren was really sick and needed to stay home.  She will definitely be at the doctor tomorrow...poor thing!

There were some happies from the Easter Bunny when they woke up this AM...

Cooper was super excited about his basket...

Anna Lauren was just trying to hold her head up long enough to see what was in the basket...

Bless her heart...she tried to smile...she said, "mom...even my face hurts"...

They had to see what was in Sam's basket too...they decided real quick it was big girl stuff and nothing they wanted.  Dark chocolate, spicy gum, coffee...yeah...nothing they want...ha ha!

Anna Lauren quickly organized her happies and went back to bed...

We will save these sweet new "Easter outifts" for another Sunday...

This cute little man and I went to church...

When we got home from church, Matt and I loved hearing his version of the Easter story.  Yes, the Easter Bunny came, but what matters most to me is that they truly know we serve a Risen Savior...Cooper loudly proclaimed, He's Alive!!!

Ridgecrest Easter Egg Hunt...

Today we had lunch with our best friends, the Bounds family, and then headed to Ridgecrest for the Easter Egg hunt.

Five kiddos ready to find some eggs...

These three girls are getting SO big...

They were playing on the playground for a few minutes before time to hunt eggs...love this picture I got of Elliot.

Pretty sure this is throwing eggs...not "hiding" eggs...

Every once in a while I can get a sweet picture of these two...sitting together listening to the Easter story.

Let the hunting begin...he was so excited!!!

Could eat him up...he is so cute and oh so sweet!

Super proud of his basket of eggs...

Someone found the "golden" egg, which got her a prize (a Wal-Mart gift card)...

These two...I'm sure they were just a giggling about something...

He had to count the "26" eggs he found...

Sweet, sweet boys proud of their baskets of eggs...

Another egg hunt in the books and now we are looking forward to celebrating our Risen Savior tomorrow!!!

Prom...

It's hard to believe that I just typed the word prom...Reid and Jake should NOT be old enough to be going to the prom, but Jake is a junior and Reid is a senior.  They are old enough rather we want them to be or not.

Paula asked me to go with her the afternoon of prom and take pictures of the boys...of course, I said yes.  And honestly, it really was a lot of fun, and I am glad she invited me to go with her.

We started with Jake and his date at the house designated for the juniors to take pictures...

Of course the girls wanted to do some pose they had seen on pinterest and one of the moms was like...boys, ya'll get out your cell phones.  I think it is one of my favorite pictures.  So fun!

Jake and his date, Julianna...isn't she gorgeous???

We finished with Jake and quickly got to the house designated for the seniors to see this handsome senior and his girlfriend, Madeleine.

Best buddies...friends since 1st grade...

So upset about these pictures...we were trying to get a few pictures of the boys with their dates before they each had to be somewhere else.  Sun too bright, pictures not good, they were not going to another spot, we were out of time.  Sigh...

And just like that they are 17 and 18...

Love this picture...such a gentelman!
