Bently's 2nd Birthday...

Yesterday we celebrated Bently's 2nd birthday "Halloween" style...the kids dressed in their costumes, painted pumpkins, and ended the celebration with the traditional trick or treating. However, it was not all "traditional"...there were many pink and silver pumpkins in honor of sweet Bently's big day!

Watch Me Grow...

Anna Lauren's 1st year, I took a picture of her every month in the same chair and was amazed at how fast she grew...I plan to do the same with baby Cooper, and you get to watch him grow with me! Today he is "1" month old...wow...what a fast month!

So far, Cooper is a sweet little boy who spends most of his day and night asleep...however, we do get a few hours here and there where he is awake. He still wants to eat every 3 hours around the clock so we are usually up at 1 AM and 4 AM to give him a bottle. However, he has only gotten up once (3 AM) one time so we know it is possible and hopefully we are getting closer and closer to once a night. But thankfully, Matt and I take turns so neither of us are sleep deprived. And we are up for such a short period of time...he drinks his bottle and goes right back down.

So...here we are at "1" month...it will be fun to watch him grow over the year as well as see what he does from month to month. Month 1 ~ eat and sleep!

Love this picture because Anna Lauren was playing with him, and he looks like he is smiling. From time to time, he will give us a sweet smile.

Halloween at Gymnastics...

Monday night was "costume" night at gymnastics...you could wear your costume for a group picture before class and then back to your leatard for class. The costumes were very "short-lived" or should we say more trouble than it was worth...BUT...the kids thought it was fun and were all smiles!

Not sure what makes her smile more...gymnastics or her "cheerleader"...

Church Day...

Everyday Anna Lauren will say, "what is it when we wake up"...meaning, is it school day, gymnastics day, ballet day, church day, party day, etc. She likes to be "in the know" and not have any surprises...oh she is so her mother's child.

Anyway, she was happy yesterday when I told her when she woke up it would be church day...she has missed church while we have been adjusting to the new little man at our house. And she was even more excited about wearing her new church dress Nanna bought her...thanks Nanna for her dress and Cooper's outfit...they were precious this morning.

We managed to make it to the 8:00 service (impressive, huh), and Anna Lauren happily went to her class and Cooper went with Mommy and Daddy. Of course, he was awake the whole time and grunted throughout the whole service...fortunately, we sat behind some good friends of ours who are having their 3rd child this week so they understood and didn't give us any ugly looks...thanks John and Catherine! Maybe next week he will sleep through church, which is what I had thought he would do today. O'well...he was fine, and we were happy to once again be at church and be there as a family!

And last but not least, we attempted a photo shoot when we got home...I had to document Cooper's 1st Sunday to go to church.

Halloween Party...

Yesterday was a "party" day...we celebrated Emily's 1st birthday yesterday morning and yesterday afternoon we went to a Halloween party at Kit's house. Kit is the grandmother to our friends Adam, Jack, and Tate, and she invited all the kids over for a little Halloween fun.

Anna Lauren waiting her turn to play one of the many fun games Kit had for the kids...

Love this sweet face...you can tell she is having a fun time!

They would not agree to take a "sweet" picture, but they were right on it when I suggested a silly picture...Adam is Batman, Anna Lauren is the cheerleader, Tate is Spiderman, and Jack is Robin. Cooper just went as Cooper in a Halloween sleeper...however, he messed up his outfit (no one warned us about little boys and diaper changing...thanks friends) before we got his picture.

Anna Lauren making her pumpkin...she LOVES "crafty" things...too bad her mother is not crafty...she really needs a kindergarten teacher mommy!

Checking out her "finished" pumpkin...

Emily Turns One...

Yesterday we celebrated sweet Emily's 1st birthday! Emily's mom, Jennifer, is one of my best friends and the photographer that ALWAYS takes fabulous pictures of my children. We have so enjoyed watching Emily grow this first year and Anna Lauren loves her some Emily...or should we say Enemy, which is what Anna Lauren calls her.

Jennifer, we enjoyed Emily's special day...thanks for inviting us to be a part of such a fun party for one of the sweetest little girls in town!

Anna Lauren wanted a picture with Emily so bad, and she wanted to pick the spot...the ball pit! However, Emily was not so sure about the ball pit but she "somewhat" cooperated so Anna Lauren could have the picture she wanted so bad.

Present time...looks like she may be interested in Dora just like all the other little girls I know...

Enough is enough...she was DONE and ready for her nap! Not having any part of everyone looking at her trying to get her to eat cake...

And we must not forget sweet Cooper...he just slept right through the party...however, one day he will wake up and realize Emily is a cutie!

The Little Mommy...

I think it is safe to say Anna Lauren has been watching Mommy load the car lately...last weekend she went out to ride her Jeep and felt the need to take along a diaper bag, stroller, baby carrier / car set, and baby!

Mississippi College Homecoming...

Saturday we spent the day at Mississippi College with family and friends...it was MC's Homecoming so we enjoyed the Homecoming festivities, tailgatin with my family, and spending time with some of Matt's friends that he played football with 10 years ago...wow...hard to believe it has really been 10 years!

We started our day by watching Anna cheer at the pep rally...yes, Anna Lauren is still "obsessed" with Anna! However, this time we got to look like Anna, which made it even more fun for Anna Lauren...

Anna and Anna Lauren...Anna Lauren could not have been happier to be in Anna's arms!

Watching the Homecoming parade...

Anna came for a "quick" visit while we were all tailgatin...and guess who jumped in her lap? I think Anna Lauren would move into the dorm with Anna if that was an option.

Cheering at the football game, and yes, we are sitting right in front of Anna. Anna Lauren would have it no other way...however, she was really cute because she attempted to make every move Anna made with her pom poms.

Does it get any sweeter? Walking with Anna at half-time...
