Annual Bounds Calvert Christmas...

We ended our fun-filled snow day at home with our annual Bounds Calvert Christmas, which just happens to be one of our favorite Christmas traditions...

Anna Lauren wanted to do a craft/activity so we decided to make gingerbread houses.  She had so much fun getting the table all set...

Several years ago the kids started exchanging pajamas with each other...

And of course we couldn't forget Baby A and Baby B, who will be here any day...we cannot wait to meet these sweet baby boys!!!

About as good as it gets with these two crazies...

All changed into their new pajamas and ready to head to Waffle House for dinner...

I REALLY wanted a picture of all of us, and I cannot believe I got it!!!  All 9 of us looking and smiling!!!

At least 14 years of friendship and making memories with our children together...

34 weeks and counting!!!

Waffle House...a favorite that never disappoints.

Pajamas, Waffle House, and then hot chocolate on a very cold night makes for a pretty perfect night...

The calm before the decorating storm...

Love that these kids have traditions and memories together that they will always cherish...special friends that are more like family.

Anna Lauren couldn't wait to do the gingerbread houses...

The boys were entertained for a little longer than I expected...

The dads doing what they do best...just chilling.  Pretty sure they were probably both looking up some crazy computer something and then discussing with each other...

A few houses in the village remained standing...

While a few houses in the village collapsed...wasn't from lack of effort though.  They tried!!!

We ended the night chatting, kids playing, and even a card game or two.  Another fun night with some of our best friends.  Whether it be Christmas or just any other time, we always have fun hanging out together!!!

Snow Day...

Warning...this is a bit of a picture overload but considering we get a good snow maybe once every 10 years, I just couldn't resist.

There was some talk throughout the week that we may have some snow Thursday night/Friday morning.  I tried to ignore that because every time we think we are going to get snow, be off school and work, etc...nothing happens.  Therefore, it was a HUGE surprise when I woke up at 5 and looked out the front door!!!  The ground was already covered and snow was still falling...

I typically look at the weather every morning when I am getting ready...this was for sure not the usual weather forecast.

Snow was continuing to fall and school was cancelled...

Oh what a beautiful morning...

Anna Lauren got up at 6:40 and couldn't wait for Cooper to wake up and go outside to play.  She convinced me to let her wake him up at 7:00, and I'm pretty sure they were out the door by 7:02.

Snow angels...

This little boy was LOVING every minute of the snow...I "think" this is his first real snow experience with more than a half inch of snow.

You better watch out, Sissy!!!

If the wind blew, snow would fall from the trees and it looked liked a blizzard...

SO proud of his HUGE snow ball...

We don't have the right gear for "wet snow" so sadly, after an hour or so everyone is frozen and has to come in to defrost...

Defrosting after round 1...

Matt took a few pictures from the window upstairs...

I think Matt and I both kept taking pictures of the trees...they are just so pretty!!!

Everyone out for round 2...

Building a snowman...

Wow...6 inches of snow!!!

Building their snowman...

This boy said, "thank you Jesus for this beautiful snow"...

Why not do a little sliding in the snow???

Throwing snowballs at mommy...

The best snowball fight...and honestly, I'm not sure who was having more fun...

We better cherish this...may be 10 more years before they can build another snowman in Mississippi.

Never too old for snow angels...

Shaking the snow off the trees...

Snowball in the face and still all smiles...what a special morning full of beauty, family, fun, smiles, and laughs!!!
