Snow Day...

Warning...this is a bit of a picture overload but considering we get a good snow maybe once every 10 years, I just couldn't resist.

There was some talk throughout the week that we may have some snow Thursday night/Friday morning.  I tried to ignore that because every time we think we are going to get snow, be off school and work, etc...nothing happens.  Therefore, it was a HUGE surprise when I woke up at 5 and looked out the front door!!!  The ground was already covered and snow was still falling...

I typically look at the weather every morning when I am getting ready...this was for sure not the usual weather forecast.

Snow was continuing to fall and school was cancelled...

Oh what a beautiful morning...

Anna Lauren got up at 6:40 and couldn't wait for Cooper to wake up and go outside to play.  She convinced me to let her wake him up at 7:00, and I'm pretty sure they were out the door by 7:02.

Snow angels...

This little boy was LOVING every minute of the snow...I "think" this is his first real snow experience with more than a half inch of snow.

You better watch out, Sissy!!!

If the wind blew, snow would fall from the trees and it looked liked a blizzard...

SO proud of his HUGE snow ball...

We don't have the right gear for "wet snow" so sadly, after an hour or so everyone is frozen and has to come in to defrost...

Defrosting after round 1...

Matt took a few pictures from the window upstairs...

I think Matt and I both kept taking pictures of the trees...they are just so pretty!!!

Everyone out for round 2...

Building a snowman...

Wow...6 inches of snow!!!

Building their snowman...

This boy said, "thank you Jesus for this beautiful snow"...

Why not do a little sliding in the snow???

Throwing snowballs at mommy...

The best snowball fight...and honestly, I'm not sure who was having more fun...

We better cherish this...may be 10 more years before they can build another snowman in Mississippi.

Never too old for snow angels...

Shaking the snow off the trees...

Snowball in the face and still all smiles...what a special morning full of beauty, family, fun, smiles, and laughs!!!
