Just for Matt...

Matt has a childhood memory of going to Edgewater Mall in Biloxi and seeing the Clydesdale horses...so...when he heard they were coming to Jackson, he wanted to "relive" this memory.  Therefore, we loaded up this afternoon and made a quick trip to Trustmark park to see the horses.  I will not share all the comments that were made, but we love Matt and "enjoyed" doing something that was a big deal to him...

We may have all (except Matt) had Cooper's look here on our faces...

Cooper's 1st T-Ball Game...

Yesterday Cooper had his very first t-ball game (sort of).  Sadly, the other team didn't show up, but we made the best of it and just let our boys scrimmage against each other.  Was actually a pretty good idea considering they have only been able to practice twice due to so much rain.  The boys, however, didn't seem to mind the other team not showing up and thought they were playing a "real" game.

So excited to be on the baseball field for their first game...left to right: Kole (KJ's brother), Cooper, and KJ (one of Cooper's best friends at school)...

Warming up before the game...

In t-ball, I think there may be as many dads on the field as little boys...

Oh how I would love to know what these two were discussing...

Cooper started out playing 1st base...

What the in-field looks like during a t-ball game...

Running the ball back to 1st base...

And from time to time, you just have to sit down and take a break...

So proud that he hit the ball and made it to first base...

Ready to head to 3rd base...

This is almost too much cuteness for one picture...Cooper and another one of his school friends, Cody Head.

He obviously needed to take a break once he made it to 1st base...

Running to 2nd base...

And you know...you must slide into home!

Waiting in line after the game for a snack from the concession stand...may just be one of the highlights of the game!

If his pants are any indication of his 1st game, I think it is safe to say he had a good time!  Now...good luck to me trying to get them white again!

Anna Lauren's 8th Birthday...

Yesterday we celebrated Anna Lauren's 8th birthday...wow..."8"!

She wanted to take a cookie cake to school to celebrate her birthday with her class.  Would have been so much cuter if the "teal" was the "turquoise" we requested.  But...Anna Lauren loved it so why should I complain?

All ready for the birthday girl when she wakes up Friday morning...

Even the table was "birthday" breakfast ready...

She went to bed saying the first thing she wanted to do was open a present and that is exactly what she did...

A "wand" from Daddy and Mommy...let's hope she doesn't burn her hair off...

Just what she wanted from Cooper...

Exactly what she told Pop Pop and MeMe she wanted...a small Bible that will fit in her church bag.

Justice gift card from Aunt Kate and her family...

Some cash from Paw Paw and Robbie...

So fun that she can now read all her cards...

And within minutes, she was tumbling on her new mat...yes, even at 6 AM!

The traditional birthday breakfast...

All ready for school...it just happened to be Spring picture day and her birthday...

Matt and I took her Chick-fil-A to school for birthday lunch, and she got to pick one friend to eat with her.  Of course, she picked McCarley!

Her friend Ava is in 3rd grade but happens to be in the cafeteria the same time as Anna Lauren so she got birthday hugs from Ava.

She decided she didn't want a party this year...she just wanted Emmy and Rileigh to spend the night.  We started our spend the night fun with dinner at Cock of the Walk.  Rileigh had volleyball practice so she and Christy missed dinner but caught up with us later.  Sweet Sam joined in on the fun too...she even spent the night with the birthday girl!

We love our girls...but these two...they are too cute for words!

She wanted to make her own birthday cake, and she picked chocolate cake with chocolate icing.

She was a sweet sister and let Cooper blow out the candles first...

Then we sang Happy Birthday and she blew out the candles...

After dinner we headed to the bowling alley.  We had to wait an hour for a lane so the kids entertained themselves in the arcade. Sam is such a good sport with all these crazies!

Anna Lauren would not come out and admit it, but she was so excited Sam came along for her birthday fun!

Eating a late night pizza snack after bowling...

This morning I took the girls to have the fingers and toes painted...the part that was the most fun was watching them pick their colors.  They all picked something different and fun!

All done and wearing her cute new outfit Rileigh and Emmy gave her for her birthday!

They really are such sweet friends...

They were so proud of their nails...

We took Sam back to Millsaps and then we ended the birthday celebration by having lunch at our favorite Mexican restaurant.

They got her good!

Easiest party ever and fun times celebrating "8" with very special friends!
