Touch A Truck...

Today we took the kids to Touch A Truck...they got to see, touch, and feel a little bit of everything.  Emergency helicopter, ambulance, race car, garbage truck, fire truck, crane, fork lift, and an excavator just to name a few.  It was a super fun Saturday morning family outing...

1st Grade Field Trip...

I was chosen to be a chaperone for the 1st grade field trip to the Science Museum and then a lunch at the park.  Thankfully several of my good friends were chaperones so we made it as fun of a day as we could.  But whew...I was exhausted when we got back to the school...I'll take my college kids over 1st graders any day!

I must have been just enjoying the day because I only have a couple pictures...

Anna Lauren and Ana Campbell...

The kids had seen all they wanted to see inside the museum in 10 minutes...so...we spent most of our time on the trails outside.

Hard to believe these kids are finishing up 1st grade...they look  (and big...I still think of them as babies, and they are NOT!

Cooper's New 4-Leader...

Since before Christmas, Cooper has been begging for a four-wheeler (or as he says a 4-leader).  Matt and I were thinking we would get him one for his birthday in September.  But...he and his Nanna went to Sam's Monday and needless to say, Cooper now has a 4-leader.  In their wild adventure to get the 4-leader to Nanna's in Brookhaven where they were planning to spend the week, sweet Nanna broke her foot so Cooper is back at home with his new 4-leader.  We tried to get Nanna to come home with us so we could take care of her, but she wanted to stay at her house. Hopefully she will come spend some time with us next week.

Daddy couldn't put it together fast enough...he was so excited!

Checking out all the buttons...

A little face time with Nanna to show her his new 4-leader all put together...

Yes it was dark, yes it was late, but he had to make a few loops in the backyard...

He wasn't too excited about sharing but Nanna told him he had to share with his sister...so...he happily let her ride for oh...10 seconds?

So we now have one really happy little boy with a 4-leader and a pitiful Nanna with a broken foot.  Think Cooper is in better shape than Nanna for the next several weeks/months.

Easter...

It was a good Easter...treats from the Easter bunny, church, lunch at Cock of the Walk, long naps, and a little Easter egg hunting!

Checking out her Easter basket...

Cooper immediately spotted the fishing pole in his basket and that is what he played with all morning.  Nothing else was of interest to him in his basket...not even the candy.

Daddy and Anna Lauren playing her new tic tac toe game...

Super excited over his new pajamas from Nanna...

Better late than never...her birthday add a pearl necklace from Nanna...big girl now has 7 pearls!

And some nightgowns from Nanna...

This is the Methodist church next door to our church...love, love, love their cross every Easter!

Surprisingly these two little ones were pretty photogenic today!  I could take pictures of them all day long, but they don't always want me to take their picture (especially Cooper).

Talk about melt your heart...love him!

Love this sassy one too!

What can I say...we tried!  At least I have some of the two kiddos!

Cooper was mad because I wanted to take their picture before they went out to hunt eggs.

Ready...Set...Go!

Nanna brought eggs with money...Matt and I should have gotten in on the hunt!

$3.50 and some candy...Anna Lauren was one happy kiddo!

Uh oh...does he have a little of his mommy in him...lining up his candy?

It was a beautiful day to spend as a family, and we were happy to have Nanna with us too!  The Easter bunny, Easter egg hunts, etc are all just the extra little fluff...what brings the most joy at Easter is that we serve a Risen Savior!
