Although it sounds like the perfect birthday if you are at the beach...but...it was actually our "come home" day so Matt really didn't get extra special treatment on Monday. Therefore, we decided to celebrate again today since we were all home from work and school.
We started the day by sleeping in...we didn't get up until 8 AM, which is really, really late for us so for sure a special treat. And then, it wouldn't be a birthday at our house without a donut castle for breakfast and some balloons!
We didn't tell Matt we were celebrating his birthday today so we surprised him with breakfast...Anna Lauren leading him into the kitchen.
Again, not sure if Daddy got to blow out candles because the kids love blowing them out.

Daddy opened a few presents...new swimsuit, shirt for Easter, and a couple other shirts. His "real" present was a sound bar he picked out and bought himself because our surround sound in the living room died a couple weeks ago.
Think he was most excited about this present...his Roo cup has been reserved...he can pick it up next week.
After breakfast, we all got ready and went to let the kids paint Easter eggs, ate birthday lunch at Lost Pizza, and came home and everyone took a nap.
After nap time, we all had some cookie cake. Cookie cake is by far Matt's favorite dessert. So...over the course of several days, we hope that we have made him feel special and showed him how much we truly do love him! Happy 36th Birthday Matt!
