Little Saturday Morning Soccer...

After getting his gloves on (no, it was not cold enough for gloves), his sunglasses on his shirt just right, and getting over the fact that they were playing with a pink ball, which is for girls, he got on the field and played a little soccer.

We have a VERY young team...I think only two of them are four and three of them just turned three.  So...we really cannot compete with other teams who have 4/5 year olds.  And today...this caused a little meltdown.  He was not winning because he could not get the ball in the goal.  The coach for the other team was so nice but it is kind of funny or embarrassing when the other coach holds his kids to at least let your kids have the chance to kick the ball.

And then he decided he would just play goalie the rest of the game...and guess what?  He actually stopped one ball!

We missed the 1st game while on our cruise and will miss the last two because we are going out of town for Anna Lauren's last cheer competition of the season.  So...Monday will be his last soccer game.  Short little season when they are this age...but...it has been a good experience, and we are glad we let him play.  Even after his meltdown today he still got in the car and said he had fun!
