Spring Beak Beach Trip...

After work Wednesday of Spring Break, we got Sam and Cooper and hit the road towards the beach!  We made a quick stop in Summit to pick up Anna Lauren from Nanna and off we went.  In D'Iberville, we managed to have a little accident and get stuck in the mud in the flooding rain...wasn't funny at the time but makes for some good laughs now.  A tow truck and $125 later we were on our way and finally made it to the beach late Wednesday night.  We were so thankful Pop Pop and MeMe let us use their condo for a few days so we could enjoy a little getaway the last part of Spring Break!

We woke up Thursday morning to a rainy day at the beach...so...we enjoyed a lazy morning and then took Sam to Lambert's because she had never been, and we were sure she needed to experience the home of the thrown rolls!

Thursday there were some breaks in the rain.  After lunch it wasn't raining so we went to the beach for a little while.  Cooper quickly found some older boys with a soccer ball and was in heaven playing with them.

It started like this and ended with them completely soaked and having to ride back to the condo naked freezing to death...

After dinner we headed to the ropes course...

There are these very rare moments that they actually surprise me with their sweetness...

Sam was really funny...she acted like it was no big deal but once she got up there, she was like...wow...this is harder than I expected. It would take her a minute before she would get the courage to move to the next thing...

Cooper enjoyed the "Cooper size" one...

And before long, he had convinced Daddy to play putt putt golf with him...

We ended Thursday with a ferris wheel ride and ice cream before heading back to the condo...we were not going to let the weather keep us from having fun!

Friday we woke up to another rainy day at the beach...this day it just happened to rain ALL day long.  So...we had a lazy morning and then hit the bowling alley and outlet mall.

You know...that 4 year old attention span.  After 30 minutes of bowling, he moved onto something else.

I was so bad that I obviously was willing to try anything to knock down a pin...

Saturday morning we woke up to a gorgeous day, and we headed to the beach!

While digging a hole, Cooper and Matt found a crab...Cooper was so proud of their crab!

Pretty sure our kids have the same love for the beach their Daddy and Mommy have...he was so happy!

Just doing what she does...

They were all hard at work...

Sun bathing beauties...

According to Anna Lauren it wasn't cold...pretty sure her face tells us differently...

It was such a beautiful day on the beach with my family...

After lunch, we hit the pool at the Wharf...and yes, the water was so cold.  I do NOT do cold water...I happily sat on the side and watched.

It was a super fun day and everyone seemed to have great time! We all showered, packed up, and headed back home around 6:30 PM. Being the crazy one I am, I wanted to be home Sunday to get all our ducks in a row before going back to work and school. Spring Break was for sure fun while it lasted...but...all good things have to come to an end, right?
