We drag Anna Lauren to all of our races so this morning was her turn...we took her to the kid run sponsored by Fleet Feet. You could do a 1/2 mile or 1 mile...she opted to do the 1/2 mile, which is the PERFECT distance for her. She had a good time, and I enjoyed running with her. And no...I did not plan for our clothes to match...everyone at the race was like, ya'll are so cute in your "matching" running clothes...I was so embarassed...I put my clothes on and put her clothes on and it never crossed my mind...we are not quite that cheesy on purpose!

Spring Dance Recital...
Last night Anna Lauren had her Spring dance recital, and I have realized that she loves anything that involves fixing hair, putting on make-up, a stage, and an audience. And I'm not just saying this...it is so true! Wow...never thought I would be saying this about MY child!
On the flip side, if I could bottle the smiles up that are on her face while on stage I would because the child NEVER stops smiling...she LOVES it and has so much fun! Matt and I have so much fun watching her and especially her excitement!
Hair and make-up...must have the PERFECT bun for ballet...

Not much luck getting a family picture...I mean the "boys" would just not cooperate!
Doesn't get much sweeter than this...love this two kiddos!

All Girl...
Nanna came for the weekend so she could help with the Anna Lauren and Cooper as well as watch all of us race on Saturday. So thankful for all her help, which lately, has been every weekend. We are so blessed to have her "willingness" to help whenever we call, which like I said, is pretty often these days.
And typically when Nanna comes, Anna Lauren gets something out of the deal...this weekend it was these "all girl" ballerina namies (pajamas) and rolled hair. She attempted to sleep in them, but she just couldn't get comfortable. However, it brought back so many memories...I slept in these rollers every Saturday night when I was her age through probably 6th grade.

Soak Up the Sun Triathlon...
Saturday morning I packed myself into some spandex and headed out for my 1st triathlon since the arrival of Cooper. I had not trained as much as I have in the past because honestly, it is a little harder to train with two kids than one. Anyway, my sweet husband decided to spectate and was a wonderful encourager throughout training and of course on race day. However, I did not race alone...my brother, his wife, and two sons joined me on race day. We all had good race day and were pleased with our performance!
Mommy with her FAVORITE cheerleader...love this little girl and especially when at 5 AM she is all smiles and ready to go to the race! Makes it much easier when the kids cooperate on race day!

My little man at his 1st race...he had fun but had to stay bundled...it was pretty chilly Saturday. And yes, he was up and laughing at 5 AM too! Love my kids!
Left to Right: Brad (brother), Paula (sister-in-law), Reid (nephew), Anna Lauren refusing to look at camera, and me...not sure where Jake was when we took this picture.
Reid, Mason (their friend), and Jake...

One last picture with Reid and Jake before they start the race...
Jake is in the water...

Reid coming out of the water...
Jake out of the water...whew...Brad, Paula, and I can relax...we just wanted them out of the water! 14 and under started first so we got to see them swim before we started...
Reid going out for his 8 mile bike ride...
Jake going out for his 8 mile bike...
LOVE this picture of Brad and Paula because they look like the are having fun...in my opinion, if you are not having fun, you don't need to be racing!
Look at that smile...you can tell I'm excited...I was really never nervous...just happy / excited to be racing again. And yes, I realize I am still carrying some baby weight in that booty...ugh! Mom was sure to confirm that too...got to love our moms telling us the truth...ha ha!
That "extra" weight must have made that BIG splash...not sure what all that splashing water is about...
I'm smiling, but honestly, this is my least favorite...the whole time I'm on my bike, I'm counting down the miles.
Brad going out on his bike, and I'm sure he is looking for me to see how far ahead I am. I did come out of the water first, but he blew by me on the bike. We had a little "friendly" competition going as to who would win between the two of us. I told him I wasn't up to the challenge!
And here comes Paula...now we are all out on the road...
In comes Reid...
In comes Jake...
In comes Brad...
In comes me...yay...now the FUN part!
All smiles because I know I'm headed to do my favorite...run, run, run!
Reid to the finish line...
