1st Race of the Season...

The time has finally come...it is triathlon season once again! Although I will not be racing along with Matt this summer, we are still excited that it is "race" time...we love Saturday morning races and especially love the time we get to spend together as a family. It is just something our whole family enjoys...

Last Saturday Matt did his first race of the season...a duathlon in Woolmarket...5k run followed by an 11 mile bike. Despite the rain and wind, he had a good race and was glad to be back in his saddle (for those of you who don't bike, that means his bike seat)!

Getting ready for his race...look at his face...you can tell he is ready to go! The boy LOVES triathlons and has the best time while racing...very seldom do we see him without a smile!

Daddy's biggest fan...he didn't swim, but we still felt the need to wear her "race" shirt!

You know...sometimes it is hard being a spectator...the weather doesn't always agree!

Uh oh...Daddy didn't smile for some reason...probably because he would just prefer the run to be done...I'm sure we'll get a smile on the bike!

Yep...here is our smile and off Daddy goes...

Coming in on the bike...he had to ride through some pretty hard rain and wind but nothing stops our Daddy!

All done...way to go, Daddy! We are proud of you...looking forward to your next race!

This race is just a little "country" race that Matt loves...there is a series of 3 races...this year he will do 2 out of the 3...
