A Rainy Day...

I must say...we enjoyed our rainy, lazy Saturday!  I grocery shopped and was back home before everyone else even woke up.  To many it sounds crazy, but I love Wal-Mart once a month between 6:00 AM and 8:00 AM.  And not to mention, I save probably $50 a month by not taking the kids (and Matt)!

Around lunch time, we headed out in the rain to run a few errands and get some lunch...we were then back home for the rest of the day.  I love some good "home" time!  Everyone rested, and then we had family "craft" time!

And this happy little guy...he looks like he has strep, huh?  He went to the after hours Thursday night because he was running fever and was diagnosed with a strep...and...got him a shot.  He was a trooper...literally, I don't think he even cried a minute.

Needless to say, he got to skip school and play with Daddy Friday (fun), but he had to miss sweet Emmy's 5th birthday party (no fun...we were sad).  Doctor said he should be good to go in 2 days so we are back to normal tomorrow...woo hoo!

And we got this sweet and sassy little girl back from Nanna's Friday afternoon...she spent the whole week with Nanna so she could go to VBS with Nanna and the rest of my family...she LOVES going to Nanna's VBS and really...just being at Nanna's...she would so live with Nanna if we would let her!
Sometimes that sounds like a good idea...whew...it was a piece of cake with just Cooper.

I am most proud of this...Anna Lauren decided she wanted to make picture frames out of colored popsicle sticks.  Since it was raining outside, we all sat down at the table (yes, even Cooper) and had "family" craft time and made these frames together.  We worked on this for over 2 hours...can I say this is HUGE!  I could not believe we kept Anna Lauren's attention...I think it is because we all did it together.

Now they are hanging in her play room and look oh so cute...she did a frame for each of her "Calvert" cousins and then one for her and Cooper.  She decided to put "friends" in her frame.

And last but not least, we ended our "family" time with Hungry Hungry Hippo...so fun...we all played...even Cooper!  Oh his smiles were priceless and my ears were hurting...we need a game that is not so loud.

Then it was time for our normal nightly routine...dinner, bath, bed.  Tomorrow we have a big day...preschool ministry is having lunch and then off to the Children's Museum.  The kids are excited!

I've never thought Anna Lauren and Cooper favored one another, but man, in this post, they look SO much alike!!
