Spring Break Cruise Vacation ~ Day 5...

Day 5 was probably the most disappointing day of our vacation.  For months and months we had all be so excited about the "perfect day in Coco Cay".

7 Night Bahamas & Perfect Day Cruise | Royal Caribbean Cruises

This has always been one of mine and Matt's most favorite ports, and we couldn't wait to take our kids.  We had looked at pictures, Matt and Anna Lauren had booked a jet ski excursion, all of us had tickets for the water park.  It truly was going to be the perfect day.

Sadly, this was the only glimpse we got of CoCo Cay.  The captain tried to dock the ship 4 different times...between the wind, a strong current, and shallow water he just could not dock the ship.  We were up and watching...he tried.

Why is this ship docked and not us...it's just not fair.  Well, that ship was bigger with more horse power.  Our smaller ship just couldn't do it.  So as we sailed away we all climbed back in bed and pouted.  Not to name any names but our oldest child may have cried herself back to sleep.  It was super disappointing to say the least.

Around lunch time we decided to go get some greasy "comfort food" to make it all better.

Some comfort food and smooth waters made everything all better.  And...even better we were headed for Key West, which we missed earlier in the week.

We enjoyed dinner every night with a family from Texas.  It was their first cruise, and they were not impressed.  We tried to tell them to please not judge their cruise experience by this one - between the corona virus craziness, missing ports, etc...it was just not a normal cruise.  We however still had a great time, but again, this was not our first time so some of it we knew could happen.
