Christmas at the Park...

We are trying to take it easy this weekend...we are all exhausted and Cooper is still recovering from his week of the flu.  After a day at home in pajamas (well, I did squeeze in a 12 mile run this afternoon), we headed out for a little dinner and Christmas at the park.

All loaded up on the train to take a ride through the park to see all the millions of lights...

You know...just posing on Santa's sleigh...

Cooper has been begging and begging to go see Santa again and sit on his lap...hmm...see Cooper anywhere?  He would have no part of Santa.  However, Anna Lauren had a nice little visit with Santa. Once again, he told her she needed front teeth and she said no thanks and asked for paint pens...AND...tickets to ride an airplane somewhere.  That was a new one!

She asked him if he remembered bringing her a trip to the beach...he said, of course I remember!  She must have liked that gift two years ago.  I know I did!

As close as Cooper got to Santa...he did once again ask for a weed eater...

Before we knew it, Cooper was "in" the nativity scene...he wanted to sit on the calf and be close to baby Jesus.  Only our Cooper!

And we ended the night by driving through the live nativity scene at Flowood Baptist Church.  We actually drove through Friday night and the kids begged to go again tonight.  Cannot really tell them "no" when it comes to the true meaning of Christmas.  I pray they always enjoy the Santa fun but not forget the real reason for the season!
