We saw the "specialist" this week, and he told us that Anna Lauren has a hairline fracture. He said she could stay in the boot, but a cast would speed up the recovery process so she quickly said...let's cast it. Our saving grace is that she can walk on the cast...think it would be another story if she couldn't put any weight on her foot.
I have never had a cast or seen one be put on...nor has Anna Lauren. Which means, she asked a million questions...
Of course, she chose a pink cast...and let me just say...it's PINK! We go back on March 7th and hopefully the cast will come off, and we can go back to the boot for probably several more weeks.
She has been such a trooper...like she told me from the beginning...it is what it is. She doesn't complain, she isn't asking for extra attention, etc. I've always thought she was tough but this injury has proved she truly is one tough little girl!
