Spring Has Sprung...

Pretty sure I get it from my mother...Spring by far one of my favorite times of the year!  Today we got the Easter eggs out of the attic, which always puts a smile on my face and just makes me happy.  I love all the bright colors, the thought of planting pretty flowers (my mother laughing at me because she knows she does it for me most of the time), new Easter outfits for the kids, sandals, perfect running weather, etc.

I have decided that you need all types of clear jars, cylinders, vases, etc...I use mine all the time and just change them out for each season.  These jars are one of my favorites!

This is not going to stay like this...every time I look up, Cooper has the bunny out of the bowl.  Pretty sure it now has pizza on its ears from Cooper's supper.

We LOVE the beach...Anna Lauren and I decided today that when our eggs come out we need sand/shells in our jars for summer time.  But for now, we'll enjoy our bright and cheery Easter decorations.

I told you...I use my mason jars ALL the time!

Love pulling out the eggs Anna Lauren made every year while at Ridgecrest daycare...sweet little hand prints!

One of my new favorite places to decorate for the holidays...the table at the top of my stairs...

Anna Lauren was getting some eggs in vases for her room so Cooper thought he needed some too...he did it all by himself!

Anna Lauren has a little bit of me in her...I can so remember decorating my room when I was a little girl.  She has started wanting to decorate for every holiday...here are her Easter decorations...notice the cheer bows she put around the bottom of the vases with eggs.

On her night stand by her bed...

And by far the cutest little bunny in our house!

Cooper's 3rd Soccer Game...

This past Monday night we headed out for Cooper's 3rd soccer game.  He told us that morning before school he was just going to watch his friends play, and he would play his own soccer game another time.

Watch his friends is exactly what he did...he did this the ENTIRE game other than a short bathroom break.

He told Matt that if he would wear shorts, t-shirt, and tennis shoes, and be his coach that he would play.  Matt told him he would wear his swimsuit if he would play.  We'll see what Monday brings...Matt wearing his "soccer" clothes!

Anna Lauren's 7th Birthday Party...

A little over a year ago, I was reading my friend Anna's blog and she had hosted the cutest birthday party for her 7 year old daughter. I showed Anna Lauren the blog post and from that point, she knew it was what she wanted to do for her 7th birthday.  If you have a little girl, I would suggest keeping this in mind...I thought it was probably the most fun birthday party we have had...and just a sweet afternoon with 8 of her little friends.

Balloons on the front porch...I did the same thing in both of my urns.

It was a cake decorating party...two different Saturdays I made 8 inch round cakes and just put them in my freezer.  Now you can buy a can of just about any color icing so each girl iced their cake in pink and then used aqua blue and purple in the icing bags to decorate.

We couldn't leave out Cooper and Elliot so they had a "boy" table...

After the girls decorated their cakes, they came in the living room and decorated their box.  I had Sharpie markers and foam stickers. Once they were done, we boxed their cake so they could take it home.

Do you have mason jars?  If not, you should get some...I use them for everything!

Anna Lauren wanted me to make her cake, and she wanted it to look like the one on the side the icing can.  All I can say is...I tried!

Our friend Jeremy called it the earthquake cake...ha ha!  But you know, for the first time, I didn't stress...the lil girls didn't care...and you know what, I didn't have one bite of cake left.

Only two moms stayed for the party...I love all of the moms, but it was kind of nice to just hang out with the girls and then the two moms that did stay...Kellie helped and Christy took pictures.  It was perfect!

May be one of my favorite pictures of the day...love happy faces!

Love all these little bare feet...

Could eat him up!

There was lots, and lots, and lots of this!

This 7 year old is something else, and I LOVE her to pieces!

While the girls enjoyed cake, ice cream, and chips and dip (Anna Lauren picked the menu), Anna Lauren opened presents...

Anna Lauren and Holli Grace...

Emmy, Anna Lauren, and Rileigh...

McKenna and Anna Lauren...

Anna Lauren and McCarley...

Anna Lauren and Ava...

Anna Lauren and Sydney...

Anna Lauren and Bently...

And she ended her birthday celebration piled up on the coach with five of her favorites watching Frozen.  Good time was had by all and even her exhausted Mommy!

Cooper's 2nd Soccer Game...

Cooper told us he was going to play soccer when it was warm...well, this particular Saturday morning it was warm and beautiful...we had high hopes of a lil boy playing soccer!

We started the morning with team pictures...

Not sure why he felt the need to cover his face the whole time they were taking pictures...

This picture cracks me up...look at the coaches...they are probably thinking, what in the world are we doing with these crazy kids?

Cooper was all excited...Nanna and Bently were at this soccer game.  So excited that he stood right beside them.  Matt, Nanna, and I were all shocked...we just knew he would play...but no, he was completely happy right beside Nanna and Bently.

It is hard work watching your friends play...need a little Gatorade from time to time.

Matt and Cooper having a little discussion about actually going on the field and playing...

Oh wait...someone left a toy on the soccer field...

Finally he decided he would go on the field with his Daddy...

He and his Daddy ran down the field once...

Then he grabbed his Daddy's leg and said he was done...this is way more interesting than we expected.  He has really surprised us, but we take it for what it is...when he is ready, he will play.
