Elf on the Shelf...

Against my wishes our elf, Elfie, was here when we returned from Thanksgiving in Gulfport.  I know why I would prefer him to not come, but I will admit...he sure does start the kids day off with smiles on their faces.  Well, most days!

Anna Lauren quickly told us these were not REAL bubbles...they were just marshmallows.  Cooper however, enjoyed eating them!

This particular morning the kids freaked out because they "accidentally" knocked Elfie off the tractor.  I assured them it was ok...parents can touch elves...just not kids!

Anna Lauren wanted Elfie to roll the house so bad, and he finally did one day last week.  This was the biggest meltdown...Cooper immediately wanted to clean up the mess and Anna Lauren wanted to leave the toilet paper everywhere.  This particular morning we got in the car with huge tears from both of them.  Elf fail!

Some days Elfie was not nearly as creative as others...

Elfie obviously caught the cold both kids had...he was so sick that he actually stayed there for two days.  Could not even make it to the North Pole one night...poor Elfie!

He got in my wrapping and had bows everywhere...too bad he didn't finish the presents for me!

LOTS of popcorn gets eaten at the Calvert house and obviously Elfie decided he needed to have some too!

And tonight he goes away...until...next year!
