Christmas Eve...

This year Christmas Eve was calm...it was just the four of us, and we had ourselves a fun-filled pajama day!

When we woke up, we realized Elf had been in the sugar to leave us a "bye" note...Jingle was fun for the kids, especially Cooper, and we look forward to having him back next year!

After breakfast at Waffle House, one of our favorites, we came home and let the kids open their presents from us and each other.  We knew the presents would provide some entertainment throughout the day.

Tradition...an ornament from Daddy and Mommy.  Cooper is checking out his new monkey...

Of course, Anna Lauren had to have a cheerleader ornament this year...

Anna Lauren was thrilled to get a diary from Cooper...she had been begging for one!

Cooper was pretty excited over his vacuum from Anna Lauren...love his face!

Checking out Anna Lauren's gift from Daddy and Mommy...a microphone...not sure what we were thinking because she is loud enough without a microphone!

She immediately started singing...

Anna Lauren helping Cooper open his "big" present...

Checking out his new basketball, baseball, and golf set...

Think he likes it!

At Anna Lauren's school, they had a store for the kids to buy presents...Anna Lauren did so good and kept it a secret until we opened our gifts.  Cooper got bear plates...

Mommy got a pretty new bracelet and earrings...

Daddy got bungee cords...

On Sunday, Anna Lauren reminded me we needed to make cookies for Santa.  Not sure how I forgot this one, but we went to the store on Christmas Eve and got the stuff...slim pickings for sure, but we managed to find what we needed to make it work...

Cooper was more interested than I ever thought he would be...

And after a while, he decided he would just eat the sprinkles...

The finished product...remember, slim pickings on the Christmas sprinkles...

And last but not least, we put out the reindeer food and settled in for the night with hopes Santa Claus would stop at our house!

And really...how could Santa Claus ever resist this face?
